Signe has been playing violin and piano since she was 7 years old and was a music student for over 15 years in Estonia. After studying at Põlva Music School and Tallinn Music High School, she did her postgraduate degree at The Estonian Theatre and Music Academy where she has graduated from in 1997.
Signe has a wide experience both as a performer and a teacher. She was part of the European Youth Orchestra in Stuttgart (1993) and played the first violin in several chamber orchestrasmacross Estonia. Signe has performed in Canada, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, Russia and many other countries. She has also worked as a music teacher in The Põlva Music School for 20 years.
Signe enjoys seeing her students loving music and developing skills in their chosen instrument. After many years of experience in teachong, Signe strongly believes that each person has unique abilities and therefore is using tailored approach to help each musician reach their personal best . Students that Signe has had the honour to teach in the past have by now reached the level of higher music education.
After moving to London Signe has joined the charity orchestra “The Pico Players” and London City Orchestra.
Signe is working with ABRSM syllabus and is teaching privately, as well as in several music schools across London.
