Chris Ormiston
Guitar/Music Theory

Chris is a guitarist based in London and first picked up a guitar at the age of 11, falling in love with the instrument listening to the works of classical, rock and blues music (Segovia and Hendrix were the guys that really did it).
He teaches music theory, acoustic (Nylon/Steel), electric guitar and bass guitar.

Chris moved to London in 2008, graduated from Middlesex University in 2011 and has since been recording and gigging with artists across different genres at venues and festivals across the country. Performances have included cathedrals, festivals, Manor Houses, Secret Cinema, Local Venues and was fortunate to have been invited for recording sessions that have taken him to The Roundhouse, Bush studios and Blackbarn studios. These Performances and sessions have also enabled Chris to collaborate with concept artists, actors, dances and theatre production, seeing first hand what the arts can provide from different perspectives.
As well as being hired as a session for recordings, functions and artists Chris also writes and produces his own original music.

These experiences provide Chris a broad understanding of how to tailor his lessons for each student he teaches and ensures the individual is always comfortable with the route they decide to take on their musical journey.
