Important information:

First Lesson Policy (Trial)

CSOMAA will not be charging for the first (trial) lesson if the Student/Parent/Legal Guardian decides to not sign up for further lessons. However, if the Learning Agreement is signed and both Student/Parent/Legal Guardian and CSOMAA are willing to proceed with further lessons, the first (trial) lesson will be charged accordingly and included in the first invoice is then sent to Student/Parent/Legal Guardian.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations

Any lessons cancelled by the Student (or the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian) with less than 48 hours’ notice, will result in the amount of one pre-paid lesson being forfeited (with the exception for bereavement news).

In order to accommodate room for unforeseen illness - Student (or the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian) can cancel one lesson per term (September-December/January- April/May-August) with no fees forfeited up to as late as 3 hours prior to the lesson start time - any later cancellations will then result in the amount of one pre-paid lesson being forfeited. This applies to every pupil individually in case there are two or more siblings/friends studying on the same day.

Please note, Private Tutors or CSOMAA should never be expected to decide whether the Student is well enough to take their lesson. The responsibility and decisions concerning the student’s health lies solely with the Student (if over 18) or the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian (if the Student is under the age of 18).

If the Student (or the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian) needs to shorten the pre-arranged lesson length they must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to do so, otherwise the full amount of the original lesson’s length will be charged.

Rescheduling

Whether the lesson is cancelled with more or less than 48 hours’ notice period, occasionally rescheduling may be possible, subject to availability.

There will be no rescheduling considered, if the lesson is cancelled within the 3 hours before the lesson start time (as the Private Tutor is likely to be on their way or have already arrived at the lesson’s address).

Cancellations by the Tutor

If the Private Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rearranged for a time that is mutually convenient for both Student and Private Tutor.

If the Private Tutor can not rearrange a lesson, the date of this lesson is then removed from the Student’s latest invoice and a new future lesson date is then added on instead, as a result extending the invoice.

If the Tutor has to shorten their lesson (due to any type of emergency coming from the Tutor) the Student (or the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian) will be charged only for the actual shorter lesson length taught.
